Arlene Abreu Mahon, CPA, LCAM, REALTOR® and Business Broker has over 20 years of experience working in financial and management leadership roles in the public and private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting and International Business and a Master of Accounting, from Florida International University.
Mrs. Mahon has worked with businesses at every stage of the life cycle, including assisting various start-up entities, as well as more established businesses. She works with businesses to implement processes and policies, preparing a business for future sale, implementing risk management protocols, advising businesses regarding cutting edge trends in technology and industry, implementing accounting and internal audit procedures, evaluating the earnings and risks of a potential merger or acquisition, providing tax consulting services, and evaluating HR and payroll programs.
Mrs. Mahon founded AAM Business Services ("AAM") in 2019 as she was eager to share her practical expertise and foresight with those desiring to start/purchase a business, value and sell a business, or improve current business enterprises. She partners with her client's leadership team from ideation to execution of all relevant business strategies, processes and controls that drive growing positive top and bottom-line outcomes while minimizing risk.
Prior to AAM, Mrs. Mahon spent eight years as a consultant for a high growth data-driven internet company that specializes in web publishing. During this time, she executed the CEO's vision and was instrumental in growing the business from a start-up entity to a conglomerate of over 300 websites, 54 subsidiary companies and over $50M of revenue. She executed cutting edge trends in technology by implementing agile management when tracking new projects, and a cutting-edge finance platform with vertical integration for more efficient cost analysis.
Prior to that venture, Mrs. Mahon worked with other companies at the beginning stages of their life cycle. She was the Director of Finance for the Fontainebleau Hotel from its pre-opening phase, to opening and for three years thereafter. She drove cost efficiencies and incremental revenue by providing department leaders with strategic analysis. Mrs. Mahon was also the CFO of the U.S. subsidiary of Buongiorno SpA, a publicly traded multinational mobile content services company headquartered in Italy. During her tenure, she was responsible for creating all financial procedures, reporting financial information, as well as spearheading all mergers and acquisitions. As a result, she participated in growing this subsidiary to over $100M in revenue in three years and completed the merger of two synergistic companies.
In addition to all her business endeavors, she has a passion for her community, working as a guardian-ad-litem for the last 5 years and teaching catechism at her church. Mrs. Mahon resides in Coral Gables, FL with her husband.
